2017 PRODUCE OF THE MONTH

Each month the 95210 wellness compaign will be promoting different types of produce to encourage everyone to increase their intake of fruits and vegetables.  Look for facts, ideas and recipes for the featured produce listed below on school lunch menus, in grocery stores and other town buildings.  Join the campaign for a Healthier You!
 
  • Everyone should eat 5 or more fruits and vegetables a day or fill half their plate with fruits and vegetables at each meal
  • Eating fruits and vegetables can prevent many diseases
  • Different fruits and vegetables can help your body in different ways, so try to eat a variety
  • The earlier and more often a child is given a fruit or vegetable the more likely they will be to eat them
  • Fruits and vegetables are great snacks and easy to eat anywhere
